Israel again attacks Hezbollah headquarters in Beirut. The attack took place on Friday, September 27, 2024. At least 25 people were killed in the attack. Four buildings in the Haret Hir neighbourhood in Dayeh were reduced to rubble. The attack was the most significant attack during the ongoing military operation.
The attack came shortly after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the United Nations, vowing that Israel’s campaign against Hezbollah would continue. The death toll in Lebanon this week rose to more than 720 people, including dozens of women and children. Israeli army tanks and armoured vehicles began deploying to the Israeli-Lebanese border on Friday. Tens of thousands of troops were also preparing for a ground invasion of Lebanon. Israel has stepped up its attacks. Saying that they are targeting Hezbollah as its target.
Senior Israeli officials have threatened to repeat the destruction of Gaza in Lebanon if Hezbollah attacks continue, raising fears that Israel’s actions in Gaza since October 7 will be repeated in Lebanon. Nearly 700 people have been killed in Lebanon as a result of this aggression. Israel’s attacks on southern Lebanon have forced thousands of civilians to flee their homes. Schools and other places have been turned into refugee camps.
Refugees can get food supplies from volunteer kitchens after the devastating explosion at the port. In Beirut City, Lebanon, in 2020, volunteers set up a Nation station kitchen to cook food for refugees, and until today, the community kitchen is still functioning. About a dozen volunteers work in the Nation station kitchen preparing noisy pots of beans and rice for the popular Lebanese dish mudar darah and chopping vegetables.
Tables JF AB ABD, one of the founders of the volunteer group,p plans to prepare 400 to 500 meals to be distributed to schools hosting refugees most of the refugees come from areas targeted by Israeli bombings bases groups and their supporters.
